Your Time and Your Season

In recent years there has been much talk about stepping into our season. With much anticipation and excitement, many await the turning of the tide when they will enter into a new season of power, blessing, influence and fulfillment. One thing I have noticed in scripture is before any great woman or man of God entered into their season they experienced a sustained period which I will call “their time”.

Sarah, the great matriarch, had her time. Joseph the renowned ruler, had his time. Jesus, our Messiah, even had his time. The time I specifically speak of is the period when God is taking you through your stages of development. This time of process isn’t always a pleasant period. It can encompass intervals of barrenness, loneliness, hardship, weariness, betrayal, and sacrifice. This is the period of time when it seems like God himself has forgotten you or has placed you on a shelf.

This post comes to admonish you not to discount what is happening during “your time”.  This is a critical time of preparation that will ensure your complete success when you step into your season. The key thing is to be conscious of where you’re at and what the Father is working through you. Like Sarah, Joseph, and Jesus, if you keep your focus, fervor, and faith you will enter your appointed season prepared and equipped. You will also experience the release of God’s glory in your life, for Romans 8:18 (KJV) says, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us”.

One final thing that bears mentioning, “your time” can substantially be longer than your season. For instance, Jesus’ time lasted 30 years, and his season only 3 years. In closing, I want to encourage you to keep pressing forward because it will be worth it all when you step into your season of manifestation.

Your Next Step Coaching Minute:
–  What have you experienced, learned and gained during “your time”?
–  Examine your life. What areas do you sense God is now taking you through a period of processing and development?
– What has been your response to the processing?
