Check Your Blind Spots
Have you ever been traveling in your car and proceeded to get into another lane only to receive an unexpected honk from a fellow motorist? How is it that you didn’t see the other car even though you checked your rear-view and side mirrors? Unbeknownst to you, the other car was there the entire time but you didn’t see it because it was hidden in your blind spot.
Blind spots are an interesting thing to me. Blind spots are areas of the road that cannot be seen while looking forward or through either the rear-view or side mirrors. In this small area of space lurks a potential chance of collision. To avoid a collision and possible devastation, all it takes is a quick glance to ensure there isn’t another motorist hidden in your blind spot.
As you travel through life you must be mindful of life’s blind spots. If you fail to do so you may end up having unnecessary life collisions. Here is a short list of possible areas where you can have blind spots as you move throughout life:
- Relational blind spots
- Spiritual blind spots
- Emotional blind spots
- Religious blind spots
- Business blind spots
- Physical blind spots
To avoid unwelcome collisions and possible devastation I encourage you ask the Holy Spirit to constantly reveal your blind spots. The Holy Spirit is your helper and the one who walks along side of you. He can see what you can’t see and will make sure you stay on course as you travel on the road to divine purpose and destiny.
Your Next Step Coaching Minute:
Spend some quiet time in God’s presence and write down the blind spots the Holy Spirit reveals to you. Then share them with a trusted friend and pray about it together.
